MTRW Of The Day | Kick It Up

Hi guys,

Holidays make me slow and mellow and today’s workout was hard. I always find it amazing that it is only through hard and consistent training and optimal nutrition that I can get the results and improvement in performance. I like it when it is about a month into a program where you start feeling stronger and also seeing results and progress.  Well, I am at the beginning of the training cycle and feeling very sluggish since I have not been able to train as much as I would have liked to for the last year. Especially the last three months with my basement flooding and my busy work schedule. It is a bit frustrating, OK not a bit, it is very frustrating when I do a workout and it is so hard to get moving at the same level as I used to be. But one has to start somewhere, and even though I am not new to working out this is a new phase and it will be some time before I will feel my strength again at the level that I want it to be, so patience will be my name and I will draw my motivation from my coaches and clients. I guess it is a give and take kind of relationshi, in this case energy and drive.

So here is my today’s MTRW Of The Day

10 rounds x 10 reps | for time | 2 supersets

  • Superset 1:
    • 10 heavy bag strikes | each leg
    • 10 clapping push ups | I used BXT to help me build the strength or you can do them on your knees
  • Superset 2:
    • 10 sandbag or hurdle side jump overs | left-right count as 1
    • 10 squat jumps
    • 10 parallet L holds | get into position hold for 10s sec – 1 count
