James 1:2-4

[ Trials and Temptations ] Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Not sure about you but when I am under trial it is one thing; however, it is different if it comes down to those you love. I find it the most difficult to stay strong when it is just keep coming and coming and when the ones you love are effected the most and you feel helpless by not being able to protect them outside of encouragement. Oh how I wish I could take the place and take the burden on instead of watching and being consumed by pain of not being able to take away the pain of those we love.

I know as we mature as Christian we give all worries over to the Lord not just one or another. We trust him with big and small to give us Grace to carry through an hour, day, week, month, and years. It is that grace that I hold on to for dear life to be able to keep going and keep being there for those I love so I can make it just a little bit more bearable in letting them know that I am here to support them. If only for a moment I can make it better sometimes it is all we need to be able to keep going.

Prayer [Novena of the Divine Mercy given to Saint Faustina Kowalska]: Most Merciful Jesus, whose very nature it is to have compassion on us and to forgive us, do not look upon our sins but upon our trust which we place in Your infinite goodness. Receive us all into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart, and never let us escape from it. We beg this of You by Your Love which unites You to the Father and the Holy Spirit.

Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon all mankind and especially upon poor sinners, all enfolded in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. For the sake of His sorrowful Passion show us Your mercy, that we may praise the omnipotence of Your mercy forever and ever. Amen.
